During my Master's in Information Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, I studied the concept of 'place' and explored how to represent a sense of place over time. As part of this research, I developed my own Sense of Place & Belonging model. This model analyzes the relationship between people and their environment, mapping how history, personal experiences, and emotions imbue a place with meaning. It offers an analytical framework for understanding the identity and community spirit of a region. The results and explanation of the model are documented in the book Representing Sense of Place, which serves as the foundation for my Sense of Belonging projects.
